What great pics of 1041.  It looks in better condition than the last time I saw it at Hawthorn depot. But oh, it is an ugly beast.
The pic of the panel, DSC01217, air pressure gauge, key etc......is this 1041?

Subject: [TramsDownUnder] Heritage Trams Transfer 14.12

Heritage Trams W5.774, W7.1040 and PCC.1041 were transferred from Preston Workshops to Southbank Depot this morning.  W5.774 towed PCC.1041, W7.1040 moved under it's own power.

I joined Mr Gordon, Mr Lumsden and Mr McArdle for a good ole fashion gunzellin'.

Photos of the transfer and some taken at Southbank Depot are at http://spatula-city.net/digital/2002-12-14/

A low quality 8 second video (approx 700k) of the pantograph of SW6.856 being raised is at http://spatula-city.net/digital/2002-12-14/MOV01212.MPG

Someone else can fill in the details and all the other news, I really don't have the time.

Andy.
