Point taken David but totally unacceptable behaviour in 2002
nevertheless. We need to be mindful of the image of our movement in
the community. And yes I realise you were on the receiving end.
It seems there were more fans around during the day but left before
the parade. Pity it wasn't better advertised because it was great to
see all the trams out on parade.
Thanks for the additional information; my community radio commitments
prevented me from getting to Bendigo until only a short time before
the parade started.
The website referred to in an earlier posting gives a good coverage
of the Bendigo operation as it is today.
I didn't get a chance to have a look inside the depot but I was told
by several people that the restoration work on Haddon's VR tram #41
is impressive. Will be great to see that running again.

I'm as broad minded as anyone but...

That group that you refer to was three people (myself included)
""entertained"" (and I use the word in its most liberal sense) bythe
said person whose name I have no idea of, rather than the languageperson
emanating from the group in general. I also believe that only one
there had a beard and yes, it is a little grey these days.
Still a great day and the film tally at the end was nine.
