Are the heaters still like that now? Or do
they have half and full? I've never really paid any attention to it, as I
usually just leave it on Automatic. I was in Z2.105 on Friday and forgot
to look.
The interesting thing about 105 is that No 1 end
has a large sliding window, and No 2 end has a small sliding window.
I had my first dynamic brake failure in 105, when I
was new on the job and just finished training. I was on a down Rt 3, and
coming up to Alma Rd. I put my foot on the pedal, and nothing
happened. The track brake went down, and I stopped only to find that my
sand was leaking everywhere.

It was number 107. Compared to the very tired and rough suspension of the Z1's that had arrived, 107 seemed wonderfully smooth. We all later found out that it was only a co-incidence, and that the Z'2s were no better at all.The differences that I can remember were that there were not luggage racks in the Z2. It had larger sliding driver's windows. The heating control only had 'heat' and not 'half heat' and 'full heat'.
