Thanks for the mural pic. I saw some wooden blocks in the road the other
day, just between the track and the edge of the asphalt. But I cannot
remember where it was now. I will remember later. Do some people remember
how rough Toorak Rd was to drive down in a car when it still had all the
wooden blocks? There are still some in the 'old' tram shed at Malvern depot.

While travelling down to take the pic of the DSth Melb
mural today I noticed that Queensbridge Rd is still
paved in wood blocks.
Is this the last remnant of the style of paving that
characterised Melbournes tram tracks for so many
years?
