It's not so surprising for books to be higher overseas. 37.50 USD for a 60-page
paperback is a wee bit steep, but not unknown for books OoP. Maybe it costs
BECKER more to keep the caps lock on.
Things don't always go badly for us outlanders. I bought some of my Keenan
Sydney tramways books from Alibris (used but immaculate) for much less than the
ARHS price, and without having to pay international postage. Had I known, I
could have got a clean copy of the Southeastern volume from them as well,
instead of the water-damaged one purchased from a used bookshop in Oz. Nothing
against the bookseller - the volume was out of print and I grabbed for it. Nor
nothing against ARHS, they've been exemplary. Alibris having the books in stock
was just fortuitous.
