Can't recall the arrangements on the "Red Lines", re doubles to
singles etc.
But can give an observation on the Abbotsford line of changing from
an "O" to a "R1". As a lad in the 50s would be travelling home on
Friday evenings after Legacy activities and a Newsreel (to avoid the
8:00pm crush) about 9:30ish. At Ross Street junction the passengers
would tranfer from a single "O" to a "R1". This was made by exiting
the "O" on the wrong side, stepping from the running board directly
into to the "R1" which was on the Up road.
