Like it or not, "big cities" aren't what they were in the 1920/30s

an unadorned W2, or arguably even an adorned one, is not a place foroperating "heritage"
them for anything other than historic value in an
collection used for very particular purposes, not day to daytransit!

The places that continue to use W2s successfully in any role are nothandle
running them in anything like the Melbourne configuration or traffic
density and they mostly have some or all of "air doors, deadman
and interlocks all over the place" etc.
