Its a matter of what you are used to. Much of what we take for granted
as "user friendly" is merely "familiar" and can be just as daunting for
a new users as your experience with the Citidas.
There is a whole range of simple day to day activities which fall into
the class of "Clear Only If Known"..... that is once you are
told/shown/discover how to do something it is quite clear and "user
friendly" but until that happens it can be a frustrating mystery!

But I had to use quite a bit of mental energy to work all this out.
And I am an experienced trammie. For a casual user, it is far from
user friendly.
