Tram news 1.11

* Rt 55 services were diverted via Swanston St by at 15.30 due to a defective tram outside Victoria Market; diversions continued for at least 60 mins.
 
* By about 15.40, Z3.199 was defective at an unknown location, probably on Rt 55.  R113 attended, the problem was a broken cable.  The tram was taken out of service and returned to Essendon for repair.
 
* By 17.40, Z1.70 became stuck on an insulator outside the Arts Center, at 17.45 the tram behind pushed it clear.
 
* At 17.50, Z3.126 had a minor accident with a car at East Malvern terminus.
 
* At around 18.10, Z1.83 was suffering brake problems, the driver could only stop the tram by using the disc brake button.  He offered to keep it in service on the proviso of a changeover at Toorak terminus, R7 were dispatched however to check out the tram.
