This postcard is of great interest to me, although
a lot of other vehicles get in the way.
It would be about 1950
Looking West
Trams were still running on Port - Fitzroy
service.
Westown line can be seen tarred over up by the GPO
clock tower.
Tram overhead was rebuilt to OB to match the
Trolleybus wires in town section from Elliot Street round into Egmont
Street.
Two trolleybuses together in town could be seen
only twice a day, 12.05 and 4.25 as an extra bus ran out for the
"Peak"
This bus did a Cutfield Road short
trip.
It also enabled a change of vehicle to be achieved
and all the four buses could be rotated in service each day.
