Map of Wellington before 1937 uploaded to Files

I have just uploaded to files two scans from Admiralty chart HO 3378, "Lambton
Harbour and Evans Bay" edition of 3 July 1938.

Attached to this message is a tiny clip showing the area around Parliament and
the old Lambton Station of the NZG Railways. This latter is an anachronism,
since by the date of publication the new Wellington Station had already been
opened.

The main significance of the map is more to do with railways than tramways: it
shows the two old stations, and the Auckland railway taking the Ngaio Gorge
route, and on it can also be traced the alignment of the former railway into Te
Aro, which figured in the discussion accompanying WGB's picture of the
Wakefield Street trolleybus yard a few weeks ago.

But it also shows the tramway system (the territory included extends southeast
to the Basin Reserve and the city end of the Hataitai Tunnel) as it was before
the Bowen Street diversion was built westward from below the Parliament
Buildings.

Too esoteric, and too large in file size, for me to get away with posting them
here! But I hope somebody will find them interesting.
