Displaying Australia and New Guinea was published in 1945 by the Australia
Story Trust, 75-77 Pitt St., Sydney. Compiled by George J Tennent and William O
Hay, it was designed as a souvenir for departing US servicemen and printed in
the USA.

DispOz043b-detail

This is detail of a small part of an aerial panorama - not, I think, a
telephoto from the Harbour Bridge - the only part that I thought could be
claimed as on-topic for this group.

Circular Quay before any rebuilding of the ferry terminals or any sign of the
railway. Plenty of trams. At far left is the prow of what can be identified in
the larger picture as a Matson liner. To its right we can make out two trams on
Circular Quay East running from Fort Macquarie depot.

To the right of the "Farmers and Graziers" building, two Elizabeth Street trams
are pulling out of the double-track terminus at the foot of Young Street and
turning east into Alfred Street.

Next, right of the Customs House, a Pitt St. tram comes down Loftus Street,
while ahead of it is another trundling west along Alfred St.
