Visited Bendigo yesterday and was advised that work on R1 2001 proceeding at
a rapid pace to have it ready for today's launch. Work was also continuing
on W2 249. Both are to be transferred to Canberra this week for the launch
on Thursday.
Hobart 22 was in the depot awaiting restoration. Also Tony Smith from Haddon
was at Bendigo preparing for the transfer of VR #41. It is to be restored at
Bendigo. It will be wonderful to see a genuine VR car running again.
Rode the talking tram service in #35. The fare for the round trip and depot
inspection is now $12.
