Wellington city routings ca 1961 - 1

Brent's reference to the backstreet routings of trolleys and buses in
Wellington back when trams were still running prompts me to share these two
sketch maps. I drew them for myself as an aide-memoire for visits to the
capital.
"Backstreet" was in fact the usual term for routes that avoided Lambton Quay.
The first map is for routes serving the southern and eastern suburbs.
Notes:
1-2-4-11 on the first sketch are tramroutes (easy enough to remember, but I
liked drawing them!) which even in these waning days still dominated Lambton
Quay.
2 on the second sketch is a trolleybus, but 3 is diesel.
7 on the third sketch is a trolley except for the "intermittant" (sic - and to
think I taught English!) Brooklyn West service.
More to come.
