-Graeme,according to the Time Line History......by B.George.Don
Storey and John Birch the date of the relay was 15 Sept.1969,there
was some discussion a few weeks ago and Mal Rowe was kind enough to
respond to my query re previous layout at depot entrance, great to see
all those big cars with just the single headlamp, remember those days
of Saturday night head-ons,tram v.drunk, almost always fatal,I had one
but the bloke was too drunk to kill, besides he told me"you were on
the wrong side of the road, you bastard",at least his car wasn't
taking him any further.Liked your series on the Adoration of the
Fiducia, there must have been a lot of of gunzels in NZ!!Don,your maps
and the panoramic shot of W'ton have given me a bit of an idea of the
city and the system,I had no idea it was so spectacular.Hope you and
WGB keep up the war,I've been getting a real kick out of TDU
lately.Regards all,Peter Bruce.-- In TramsDownUnder@y..., "graeme

Tonight Rod Hudson and I have been down to Dandenong Road to seemost of the 49 cars which will spend the night out in the open there.
Its seems a good time therefore to post some of Rod's slides takenat the last relay ( 70's) ????
near the depot.
At that time some cars were parked in the street in Glenferrie Road
While the main group were in Dandenong Road .
