Tram Works 4.10 - 6.10

The following information obtained from "V".

The following works are taking place this weekend:
* Malvern Depot, altering the layout of the run in/run out track, and
providing an additional track.
* General trackworks in Glenferrie Rd and Wattletree Rd
* Dandenong Rd pole restoration

Power is to be isolated in:
* Glenferrie Rd - High St to Dandenong Rd
* Wattletree Rd - Glenferrie Rd to Dandenong Rd
* Dandenong Rd - Chapel St to Gladstone Ave

Over the course of the weekend:
* Malvern crews are to sign on at Malvern Depot. Trams stored in Dandenong
Rd will be rostered for service first, then ones at Glenhuntly Depot.
Drivers will be provided with transport as required.
* 58 trams required to run Malvern services minus 9 trams on Rt 69 services
that is to be replaced by buses.
* 27 trams required to run Glenhuntly services.
* 10 Malvern trams to be stored at Glenhunty, 16 to be stored on Dandenong
Rd.

Buses will replace trams on the following services

4.10:

Rt 5: After about 19.30 the shuttle service replaced by buses between
Malvern and St Kilda Junction.
Rt 6:23.38, 23.58, 00.18 and 00.38 ex St Kilda Rd
Rt 8: 00.18 and 00.38 ex Domain Rd
Rt 16: Normal service, but trams to run in/out from Glenhuntly Depot or as
directed by Malvern Officer.
Rt 64: Normal service, but to be diverted after 19.30 via Balaclava Rd.
Rt 69: Possible full bus replacement after 19.30
Rt 72: 23.30, 23.50, 00.10 and 00.30 ex St Kilda Rd

5.10:

Rt 5: Replaced by buses between Malvern and St Kilda Junction (connecting
with tram)
Rt 6: 5.35, 5.50 ex Glen Iris (connecting with tram at St Kilda Rd); 23.38,
23.58, 00.18 and 00.38 ex St Kilda Rd
Rt 8: 5.31 ex Toorak (connecting with tram at Domain Rd); 00.18 and 00.38
ex Domain Rd.
Rt 16: Normal service, but trams to run in/out from Glenhuntly Depot or as
directed by Malvern Officer.
Rt 64: Normal service, but to be dirverted via Balaclava Rd.
Rt 69: Replaced by buses all day.
Rt 72: 5.11, 5.31, 5.36 ex Glenferrie Rd to Camb Junc & Camberwell
(connecting with tram at St Kilda Rd); 23.30, 23.50, 00.10 and 00.30 ex St
Kilda Rd

6.10:

Rt 5: Replaced by buses between Malvern and St Kilda Junction (connecting
with tram)
Rt 6: 7.14 and 7.44 ex Glen Iris (connecting with tram at St Kilda Rd)
Rt 8: 7.40 and 8.10 ex Toorak (connecting with tram at Domain Rd)
Rt 16: Normal service, but trams to run in/out from Glenhuntly Depot or as
directed by Malvern Officer.
Rt 64: Normal service, but to be dirverted via Balaclava Rd.
Rt 69: Replaced by buses all day.
Rt 72: 6.40, 7.10, 7.38 ex Glenferrie Rd to Camberwell (connecting with
tram at St Kilda Rd)
