Yes, about 2 weeks ago I noticed a Z3 stopped with the panto 1/2 on the
insulator at Latrobe Street southbound stop. When it took off it made nice
sparks and flashes. Again the insulator was in a wonderful position with a
compulsory stop between the two insulator marks for a front panto
tram. (there is a few in the CBD like this).

There was an insulator there temporarily while the track work was done a
couple of weeks ago I think. At least one tram became stuck there. Of
course the markings were placed on the down a day or two before the temp
insulator was removed. There are still insulator markings in Commercial Rd
under the Alfred Hospital heliport. The insulators were only temporary too,
while the heliport was being built maybe ten years ago.

Subject: [TramsDownUnder] Tram News 30.9* Insulator markings have been placed at the down southbound LaTrobe Ststopon Swanston St last week after the trackwork. There is no actual insulator
there however, it was removed some time ago.
