* Z3.180 was on loan to GH from Brunswick, Z3.224 and another were on loan
from Malvern. This was to cover ongoing rollingstock shortages. Z3.180 was
transferred back to Brunswick this evening, departing GH at 19.20 approx.
* Z1.2 developed faulty brakes in the mid afternoon, it was changed over at
around 16.45 at Balaclava Junction with Z1.19. Upon reaching Domain
Interchange, the driver to contend with power surges and grabbing dynamic
brakes. The tram was taken out of service at the Arts Center, mechanics met
the tram in the city. It was driven back to GH by the mechanics, the driver
travelled per train from Melbourne Central.
* Insulator markings have been placed at the down southbound LaTrobe St stop
on Swanston St last week after the trackwork. There is no actual insulator
there however, it was removed some time ago.
* Rumour states that C3026 had a nasty disagreement with a semi-trailer on
26.9, the side frame of the tram is severely damaged. The damage bill has
been placed at $500k, YT had considered writing it off.
