Re: Another trolley bus route

Hi All

Talking about forgotten Trolley bus routes reminds me of the number
13 Northland service. It used to go up Molesworth St left into
Tinakori Rd and the up to The Intersection of Northland Rd and
Pembroke Rd travelling via the Northland tunnel. There was a sharp U
turn at the terminous which was difficult to negatiate. If you mucked
the turn up you could not reverse the bus because of the number of
segments in the overhead wiring. The route ceased to exist after the
building of the motorway, which cut the width of Tinakori Rd in
half.Sorry that I do not have a photo. If any are around they would
be most appreciated.
