MISTAKE, by the way! I got the number wrong. Careful examination and repeated
sharpening shows it to be 235, not 222. Very decorative, those numbers, but not
the easiest to read! Still, if I had bothered to check I would have discovered
that no Fiducia ever bore a number lower than 232.

Another puzzlement: the car is inbound on route 2 but the number board shows 1.

In a day or two I shall post another picture of the same car taken a few
minutes earlier, showing it outbound one street west of this location, the sign
showing "Railway Stn" as it does in this shot, but the number board showing
"2." So obviously at the Haitaitai terminus the driver changed the number for
the return trip to the city. Why? I'm sure this was not normal practice.
