I just rememered that graphics attached from my mailer get screwed up
by Yahoo, so here is the attachment again.

I've reposted the following message composite and attached photo 3509
here in TramsDownUnder because of the topical interest. They are
posted through the kind permission of Stefan Baguette, took the photo
and posted the original messages to "Eurotrams".

Siemens held an open day in its Wildenrath test facilities on August
25, 2002. A former RAF base has been turned into a railway and light
rail test centre where new trains can be thoroughly tested to avoid
problems turning up when they enter service. At the moment, dozens of
Desiro UK are tested in Wildenrath, but some trams were present as
well.

Four Combinos for Melbourne in Australia were also present. These are
of the shortest variety and were all painted in overall white.
Pictured was 3509, also on 25/08/2002.
