A nostalgia shot for those of us old enough to
remember.
It's a mere 33 years ago (31/8/1969 to be precise) and
Andrew Howlett, Graeme Breydon, Brian Weedon (in
front) and (the late) Bob Prentice are rather proud of
the 'new' trolley retriever freshly fitted to the
front of 217 - courtesy (I believe) of the good
offices of Dave Hinman (centre) who made the right
connections with NZ trolleybus authorities.
Dave went on to make quite a name for himself in
Christchurch tramway circles.
