Tram News 9.9 & 10.9

9.9:

* Z3.136 in M> livery turning right into LaTrobe St from Swanston St around
14.35, obviously on transfer somewhere.

* A1.246 was seen running a dn Rt 75 service at Bridge & Church at around
18.25.

* Sometime in the early evening, a truck hit Newmarket Bridge, causing
damage to the overhead and troughing. Z3.222 suffered a damaged pantograph,
which had only recently been fitted.

* Z1.39 failed at around 21.00 on Dandenong Rd near St Kilda Junction with a
battery problem. Mechanics attended; the tram was removed from service and
taken back to Glenhuntly Depot.

10.9:

* Z1.36 was seen undergoing mechanics testing at Sth Caulfield Junction at
13.30.

* Z3.192 was seen undergoing mechanics testing on Dandenong Rd near Orrong
Rd at 14.05.

* B2.2026 is now running from Preston Depot, it was previously running from
Camberwell. This is the 2nd tram in YT MkII livery.

* Z3.220 was noted with a blue pantograph.

* Z1.80 was removed from service at Luna Park on Rt 79 services due to a
collapsing drivers seat. Mechanics attended, but were unable to find the
air leak. It returned to Glenhuntly; the same driver then car'd out Z1.39
and ran special to Prahran terminus, then in service to Toorak Rd; shunting
there to be perfectly on time.
