More Hawthorn Depot Point work

Here is a piccy of the Hawthorn fan before the
application of ashphalt, courtesy of Jeff Bounds taken 28/07/02. Flats are
behind.
The points are single bladed. Track extension to
roads 5-7 goes as far as the entrance to 5 road, the rest is dummy.
The depot facade has been restored in a style
reminicent of its original style.
It was modified to the iron / corrugated front at
some stage, maybe in the late 30's??
Was the reason to suit wide body
cars??
