Lots of other places celebrate it on May 1st.

Today is the day to honor Labor

But this is the Gobal Village!

For Australia, "Labor Day", or "8 Hour Day" as it is called in some
states, falls.....

in NSW, ACT and SA is the first Monday in October.

in TAS and WA is on the first Monday in March.

in VIC is on the second Monday in March.

in QLD is the first Monday in May.

NT doesn't have a Labour Day

Happy Labor Day!

"So be true to yourself in the West boys
Be staunch to your mates and your class
The 'Brag' of the squatters we'll test boys
By the power of the Union 'Hold Fast'
Let them hunt up the scum of the South
Bring outcasts too wretched to name
We'll give it to them straight from our mouths boys
They never shall win at the game"

Cheers,

Bill
