Re: Remnants (Shelters)

Hi,

went past the "St Vincent's Place" transfer super stops in daylight
for the first time the other day. Noticed that the rebuilt "new
'old' Shelter" has been painted in Chocolate and Cream and no seats
installed, just standing room. When was this shelter built on
Victoria Parade?

From memory, the cute little shelter further down Macarthur Street
near in the park at St Andrews Place and at the stop opposite
Parliament Station has a mosaic tile floor with the initials of a
former tramway company. Is the title floor still there and does
anyone have a photo of the shelter and the floor, or a digital camera
that they can use to take a couple of pics?

Are there any other shelters that have monograms of the companies
that built them? (I'm sure a few of the depots must too. Kew for
example.)

Cheers

Davo
