On further inspection today, track has been laid to the first shed,
with rail leading into all four doors. This shed has retained it's
original length. There was work being undertaken to connect track to
the second shed, which only looks long enough to store one car each
(ie W clas length). The "new" track appears to have been dumped in a
pile, lots of workmen standing around trying to work out what was
what. Is this track the original track from the depot? It looked to
be on the used side.

No overhead installed yet, although the poles are there. The second
"shed" seems just a facade. It appears to have no roof and doesn't
even look deep enough for one tram. The first shed has a nice new
brick facade and new roof (cf with the photo of the original depot at
http://www.btm.org.au/99july.html).
