Re: TramsDownUnder FAQ, Rev. 3--CORRECTION--ALL PLEASE READ

Hi, gang!

Please correct these paragraphs, under "Courtesies and Common Sense", to read:

* Watch the subject line! When you post and the subject line no longer has any reference in regard to your topic, please change the subject line to whatever you are talking about.  For example, if the original subject line was "South Melbourne Depot" and the discussion has wandered off to something like "New Plymouth, NZ Birneys", I'm going to scratch my head and go "Huh?".  So please change the subject line if it's different from what you're talking about!  (You can also put "New Plymouth, NZ Birneys--was: Re: South Melbourne Depot" in the subject line.)

* ATTACHMENT POLICY:  As on other lists I run, pictures are welcome on
[TramsDownUnder].  THEY MUST BE IN "JPEG" (.jpg) FORMAT!!!.  However, please send only one picture per post, and no more than five posts with picture attachments at a time.  Convert ".tif", ".bmp". "PICT" or "application-octet/stream" files to JPEG (.jpg) BEFORE sending the attachments to the list!  JPEGs are universally openable by various graphics applications, whereas the other types are not.  Also, please try to keep your JPEG image files in manageable size (below 250k).

If you have questions as to whether a picture is a true JPEG (.jpg), please contact the listowner at <[email protected]> or <[email protected]>.

TEXT FILE ATTACHMENTS TO MESSAGES ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED!!!  If you must use a text file to state a point, COPY it and PASTE it into your message, or indicate the URL in the body of the message.  Or upload it into the Files section of the web site as a text file (see next section).

The FAQ in the Files section has been corrected to show these changes.
