One of the more offbeat aspects of our hobby has been a few reported
incidents of enthusiasts masquerading as employees and "reporting"
for duty.
Apparently where was an incident at Ballarat, 40 years ago this
month, where a keen young enthusiast dressed up in a SEC uniform and
made out he was the rostered conductor on a tram.
There was a similar incident in Melbourne; at Preston Depot if I
recall correctly.
Does anyone recall any of these, or other similar, incidents?
