Saw Citadis 3032 in service today; is this the highest numbered tram
running in Melbourne?
Further to John Fitzsimons' report from Preston, W6 992 was outside
the workshops looking really good. In contrast, SW5 946 was there
looking very tired.
Combino (35)02 was also outside the workshops.
The four trams in the old Preston Depot, visible from Miller Street,
were SW5 785, SW6 852, W6 981 and SW6 960.
The general aura of the workshops area, observed from outside the
fence, under threatening skies, was that it was a shadow of its
former self. Only a few autos were in the employees' car park.
I remember visiting the workshops during school holidays in the 1960s
and there were two trams that ran from the inside of the workshops at
the end of the day shift.

workshops about 9.l5 am today 30/7 citadis 3029 being
worked on prior to entering traffic. This was supposed
to be the one which had an accident while at sea but
looked fine this morning.
It never left France with the batch of 5.
3036 should have arrived at the end of last week, it was on the
as the 3rd XTrapolis for Connex which was trucked to Bayswater onSunday night.
