Re: Inverters on Melbourne trams

I am not good at electric stuff, but doesn't six batteries at 3 volts
each equal 24V. And the voltage indicator vaguely hovers around 24.

My understanding is that the Melbourne low voltage supply is in

fact

40v, not 24v.

Better to get out and push, or hire a horse.
