Subject: [TramsDownUnder] F 393 Centenary

My wife and I spent the day at Loftus to help celebrate the F car's
100th birthday, and would like to say how much we enjoyed the event.
The day was excellent, and a real credit to the STM and it's members.
There was even a birthday cake, yum! Thanks once again to everybody at
Loftus for a great day.

Seconded, I turned up whilst on holidays not even aware of the event. When I
arrived, someone was at the doorway of the museum who politely suggested
there was more action at the picnic ground due to the centenary and I got
there just at the start of the talking bit and the cavalcade. A most
enjoyable day, and the volunteers there are very professional. My only
niggle (and a very minor one at that) was the slight confusion as to what
was happening next for about 5-10 minutes when the cavalcade returned from
Sutherland (and that was more related to which trams were returning to
Sutherland as well as required shunting operations allowing R1740 to do it's
National Park trip rather than any question as to what was actually
happening). A most excellent and enjoyable day.
