W class trams - are moving!

Latest news from Southbank depot.
Tram 983 which was talked about last week has returned to its proper
home Southbank. It was brought back Thursday night after the peak
down brunswick st. R10 have the tram for maintance training at the
moment then the tram will go back into service. The ticket machines
were all brought back on-line today and some minor adjustments were
made to the track brake button.
Tram 890 The PTC training tram was lit up at 5.00pm for the first
time in two years, placed in the maintance shed for a service and was
transferred to Camberwell depot leaving Southbank at 6.35pm, this has
been the first time this tram has moved out of the depot in two years
and it just drove off like it was run in yesterday. It is belived
that track brakes will be fitted but un-like it's sisters the tram
will not have any other fittings on, un-like the one man cars.
