Mr Young (first names are the norm among the less forman enthusiasts
down under)
It is interesting that so little has been published on Melbourne
considering the size of the system.
I would be surprised if a new edition of Destination City would be
viable; the "severe gen" is more suited to a web page. But a good
general interest book covering the current scene and the period since
the end of the MMTB (nearly 19 years!) would be good.
Tony Smith is the person to contact at Haddon. When Mike Taplin (LRTA
Chairman) was here a few years ago, Tony made is welcome showed us
around the site. The main thing is to make an appointment in advance.
There was a report recently that the TMSV museum at Bylands was not
always open on Sundays; has there been an update on this?
Maybe a there might be some interest among the members of the
newsgroup to welcome you to Melbourne over a "pint" at a pub with
trams passing by!
