Sun.24.9.23 Metro X
Because of tunnel works, Degraves St subway at Flinders St is closed until 2024. No platform transfer via Degraves St subway. Passengers should use Elizabeth & Swanston St entry/exits.  Campbell Arcade remains closed to 2024. Platform  interchange via that subway was available until mid 2022.
Flinders St: still with a lane closed for tunnel works?
Mernda/Hurstbridge lines: Buses replace trains Parliament - Clifton Hill until the last train (maintenance works).
Lilydale/Belgrave/Alamein/Glen Waverley lines: All trains direct to/from Flinders St all day (maintenance works). From loop stations, take a Flinders St train from pfm 2.

Buses replace trains city - Sandringham until the last train (works).
12.25 Sunbury/Craigieburn/Upfield/Pakenham/Cranbourne lines: Major delays (police in the city loop).  Trains may be held at platforms, or may run direct to/from Flinders St.
- 12.36 clearing
12.31 The announcements from the female are completely muffled inside the 12.19 inbound Craigieburn line train. I cannot understand a word, and it’s not just me. Male? driver that spoke - it was way clearer.
- That was an announcement from the network control centre. We'll follow up with our faults department.
Buses replace trains North Melbourne - Upfield from 20.35 until the last train (maintenance works).
Sunbury/Craigieburn/Upfield lines: All trains direct to/from Flinders St from 21.00 until the last train (maintenance works).  From loop stations, take a Flinders St train from pfm 2 to Southern Cross.
21.58  Lilydale line: Major delays (vandalism in the Mooroolbark area).  Trains may remain stationary for extended periods at or between stations.
- 22.04 Ringwood station is saying that buses have been ordered, but so far no notification the lines suspended.
- 22.06 Buses to replace trains Ringwood - Mooroolbark.  Buses ordered, ETA 60 min.
- 22.07 up now

Mon.25.9.23

I got caught up in the mess getting to the airport.

Mon.25.9.23 Metro X
Mernda line: Buses replace trains Parliament - Clifton Hill from first to last train (maintenance works).
- any chance of telling us before the morning of? Surely with your sophisticated social media team you could’ve given passengers warnings rather than doing it at 6.00 on the day. This is ridiculous
- 14.12  These works have been advertised on our website in advance and also via PTV. To keep informed of planned works, please visit
- Ok...but no advertising at stations, on your twitter account prior to the morning or anywhere else where people would expect to find to.  You’ve failed to see the point.
Hurstbridge line: Buses replace trains Parliament - Heidelberg from first to last train (maintenance works).
Trains operate as a shuttle service Burnley - Lilydale/Belgrave, and to an altered timetable from first to last train (works).  Change at to/from a Glen Waverley train. to/from City.
7.06 Total joke no pre warning and no staff at Flinders St to advise; staff at Burnley can’t even tell anyone when trains are and it’s at minimum a 20 minute wait for a Belgrave line. Thanks for making everyone late
- These works have been advertised via our website and PTV. You can find more information here https://metrotrains.com.au/planned-works/?pwId=546398 We will follow up with staff at Flinders St.
- There were no announcements before this morning so you may want to double check your information and or when your website updates went live. And the 44minute wait at burnley for a train is a total joke.
- 7.36 There were no signs at Box Hill and no prior notifications via Metro Notify until this morning.
- 7.39 We'll follow up re signage at Box Hill.  Metro Notify does not display works alerts until a few hours prior, but our planned works page on our website displays upcoming works up to several weeks in advance. You can find that here: https://metrotrains.com.au/planned-works/
- 7.52 How can you expect people to know this and plan ahead when you always advise metro notify ect are the best sources for information yet don’t use it and expect people to go to an obscure works list that you do not advertise. Disgraceful.
- 7.04 These works have been advertised via our website and PTV. You can find more information here https://metrotrains.com.au/planned-works/?pwId=546398 We will follow up with staff at Flinders St.
- 7.48 There where no announcements before this morning so you may want to double check your information and or when your website updates went live. And the 44minute wait at burnley for a service is a total joke.
- The usual Metro 'we dont care' attitude, with trains from Box Hill terminating at Burnley, with no increase in Glen Waverley service using the released capacity, and no loop trains.  I was heading to the airport.  There was no connecting train at Burnley: your infrequent Glen Waverley didn 't come until after the next from Box Hill arrived, and wasn't diverted to run via the loop to compensate, necessitating a further change at Richmond, with luggage.
- Are the city loop trains running as normal tomorrow?? Today was a nightmare
- trains will operate as per normal from first train to 9pm after which service changes will apply until last train.   More info regarding these changes after 9pm can be found here: https://tinyurl.com/mu5sntms
- 10 minutes between trains on the Glen Waverley line during peak when catering for Lilydale and Belgrave passengers to get to Burnley is a joke. Why aren’t extra trains running to Burnley? Seriously do better!
Buses replace trains Camberwell - Alamein from first to last train (maintenance works).
Glen Waverley line: All trains direct to/from Flinders St all day, and will run to an altered timetable (works).  For loop stations, change at Richmond for trains from pfm 5. From loop stations, take a train to Flinders St.
7.31 Lilydale/Belgrave/Alamein lines: Major delays (an ill passenger requiring medical assistance at Glenferrie).  Trains may be held at platforms, or may terminate/originate at intermediate locations.
- 7.36 clearing.
8.11 Sandringham line: Major delays (a vehicle hit Carlisle St underline bridge near Balaclava).  Trains will be held at platforms.  Consider alternative transport options.
- 8.49 Trains are resuming; delays are clearing.  Trains may terminate/originate at intermediate locations.
10.52 Frankston line: Major delays (an ill passenger requiring medical assistance at Seaford).  Trains may terminate/originate at intermediate locations.
- 11.18 clearing.
- 14.22+17  Major delays again (an ill passenger requiring medical assistance at Carrum).  Select trains may terminate/originate at intermediate stations.
- 14.33 clearing.  Stopping patterns may be changed.
17.40 Major delays (police in the Cranbourne area).  Trains may remain stationary for extended periods at or between stations.
23.45 Mernda line: Major delays (a vehicle blocking tracks near Thomastown).  Trains may remain stationary for extended periods at or between stations.
- 23.55 Buses will supplement trains until last one tonight.
- 0.54 delays clearing.  Trains may move at reduced speed between Thomastown and Keon Park.
