Thurs.29.8.24 Metro X
22.11 Wed. Frankston line: Buses to replace trains Mordialloc - Carrum (an overhead power fault at Edithvale following severe weather), adding to the existing Carrum - Frankston replacement. Buses ordered, eta 30 min.
[Reported by phone from the field at 20.30: a Siemens brought down the overhead].
- 22.34 Buses eta 10 min.
- 22.55 Buses in operation, adding 40 min.
- 6.02 Thurs. More buses enroute.
- You need on your website to clearly advise if it’s both directions that are affected, as journey planner doesn’t take faults/delays into account
- If a disruption is only in one direction, we specify which direction is impacted (either citybound or outbound).
- 8.02 We've been standing at Edithvale for 20 min and only one bus has come past that was completely full and took no passengers. This is ridiculous.
- 16.36 & 17.53 Passengers from the city travelling beyond Cheltenham take a stopping-all-stations train to Cheltenham to change, adding 45 min.
- can't go a single day all week without getting home late.
- Do we know what's the ETA on the Frankston line fix?
- 18.10 we're unable to say at this time when repairs will be completed. For real time updates please check http://metrotrains.com.au
- 22.39 Trains are resuming. First: 21.56 ex Flinders St; 23.02 ex Frankston.
7.20 Buses replace trains Frankston - Stony Point (an overhead-power fault near Edithvale, ongoing since Wednesday night). Replacement buses are in operation, adding 25 min.
- 13.01 & 15.01 & 22.01 Ongoing. The fault followed severe weather conditions.
- 22.46 Trains have resumed [but the next is on Friday morning].
18.38 When is the Craigieburn line going to move. We are trying to get home and no one is communicating anything
- 18.42 Police were attending to disruptive passengers on-board an outbound service at Jacana, which has caused residual late running to 12 minutes along the line.
19.14 Glen Waverley line: Major delays citybound (police in the East Malvern area). Trains may be altered.
