Owing to a major event in the CBD from first tram today, service changes affect city trams. http://bit.ly/3Tne9Jc.  [Lasted all day, an into Friday]
Happy 170th birthday to Flinders St, opened on this day in 1854.  VR/SLV photo, 1926-27, electric trams in Swanston St, but still cable trams in Flinders St.
8.53 Pakenham/Cranbourne lines: Major delays (an 'operational issue' in the Richmond area). Trains may be held at platforms.  If your train is between stations, remain on-board and listen for announcements.
- 9.06 Consider Frankston trains between Caulfield and the city.
- 9.17 Trains are now on the move.  Some may terminate/originate at intermediate locations.
15.40 Mernda line: Major delays (police in the South Morang area).  Trains may remain stationary for extended periods at or between stations, or may terminate/originate at intermediate stations.  Stopping patterns may be changed.
- 16.03 clearing.
17.26 Frankston line: Major delays due to a vehicle damaging the Bear St level crossing at Mordialloc. Stopping patterns may be changed; trains may terminate/originate at intermediate stations.
- 19.18 clearing.
17.41 Pakenham/Cranbourne lines: Major delays (a trespasser in the Armadale area, and an earlier train fault in the Richmond area).  Stopping patterns may be changed; trains may terminate/originate at intermediate stations.
- 18.37 Now a train fault at Huntingdale too.  Trains may remain stationary for extended periods at or between stations.
- 19.05 clearing.
- Major delays this morning. Now again tonight? How can you be so bad at operating these trains? Years to make improvements but still continual problems.
- I want to be compensated for this.
19.10 Lilydale/Belgrave lines: Major delays (police attending to a trespasser in the East Camberwell area).  Trains may remain stationary for extended periods at or between stations; stopping patterns may be changed; trains may terminate/originate at intermediate stations.
