Sydney steam trailers

The Parramatta (spelling?) steam tram group had two C class cars over the
years. One was formerly used in Byron Bay as part of a wharf line, along
with a Sydney B type crossbench steam tram trailer. Both came to Parramatta
in the 60s (I think), and the two C cars were used until they restored some
more representative bogie crossbench trailers (even though C cars were used
as steam trailers now and then, especially early before the electric
expansion and power caught up with the deliveies of cars). The Parramatta
group also picked up, on loan, another car, which was sold to the 'Canberra
Tradesmen's Club' around 1986 and is now incorporated into their restaurant,
along with two Sydney R cars, a Sydney P, a Brisbane FM, Adelaide D and H
(the latter full of pokie machines!), Melbourne cable trailer, W2 and L.
They also have some unrestored bodies somewhere, a couple of VR dropcentres,
Launceston and Hobart cars and mabye some others. Any more info? I visited
this club in 1998 for a meal, and the C car has a windscreen at one end
only, suggesting that it might have been one of the cars that was
semi-permanently coupled with a D car at some stage, hence had windscreens
installed at the outer ends of the set. I don't know what happened to the
other Parramatta C car. The numbers are (I think) 37 and 95, although I
can't remember which was which.
