Roy,to
That thing looks like something out of Mad Max 2 (aka "The Road Warrior"
the unwashed masses across the Pacific).parting
I bet you wouldn't have much trouble getting down the street with a front
end like that on it. And look at the headlight. You'd be like Moses
the waters cutting through modern day traffic with that thing.most
You could throw away Vetag and private rights-of-way.
Looks more formidable than a dented up old steel bullbar on a road-train.
I like it.
If you have a bigger version of that, I'd appreciate a copy to use that on
my computer desktop.

Subject: Re: [TramsDownUnder] ugly???I hereby nominate the following WA tram as one for the 'only a mothercould love' category of the Trams Awards 2001.There', with the original photo either taken by Arthur Perry or Hugh
The photo is a scan of the back cover of the PETS publication 'Getting
Ballment, as all the colour photos in the book are from these two gents'
collections.
The tram is unique, but not all that pretty...
Built in 1913, retired in c.1952 it lasted some 20 years longer than
of its companion stepless cars. The view portrayed was in the car sidingsin
beside the WACA ground in East Perth in 1952. The tram had been modified
the late 1940's, including the fitting of the centrally-mounteddestination
box, removal of the external motorman's door and replacement with anhttp://docs.yahoo.com/info/terms/
internal door cut into the bulkhead (forcing the motorman to climb over an
adjoining passenger seat!)
