It would take a stupid bastard to suggest a tram museum cut off from one of the biggest tramways in the world by a couple of miles.IS Edit<[email protected]> 05/09/02 11:43pm >>>
It might as well be out in the Woomera.
Stupid bastards.
Every problem has an opportunity. So for example, if we ship the trams out to their own detention centre in Woomera, eventually the federal government will want them to go back where they came from. And hand over money to encourage them to go back.
Given the trams came from Melbourne's operating tram system, and given that system still exists, then not only do we get historical trams back on the tracks, but the feds who normally wouldn't fund any form of public transport because they compete with freeways will hand over taxpayers money to get them back there.
The only downside is that trams whose systems no longer exist pose a bigger problem.
Sincere regret for being pedantically silly (notice I wasn't sorry!)
