Why not run it up the West bank of the Maribyrnong
River to Footscray?
The whole riverbank is going through changes and some old rail right of way is there.

Williamstown. I have thought about running a tourist tramline in the
area, using cars from the fleet at Newport. My proposed route is as
followed:
From Williamstown Station, via Ann St, Nelson Pl, The Strand,
terminating at either at North Rd, or continuing along The Strand to
the former ferry site. This would also be a good place for the
depot. The other location for the depot could be at the end of the
the railway reserve. There is also the possibility to extend the
line further South along Morris St and the Esplanade, providing
service to the football oval, Fort Gellibrand and the foreshore.
Any comments?
