Big cars (and more material for the dictionary of MMTB terminology)

Sliding door cars (above 840) were always called "big cars" but were
the W2s commonly known as "little" cars? I don't recall that at
Camberwell in the 1970s. The W5s were commonly known as Clydes and of
course the Y1s were "yappers".
What would have been the terminology for the single truckers at
Footscray?
I also recall SEC crews at Ballarat and Bendigo referring to single
truckers as "truck cars". But the Birneys were always Birneys.
Paul in Melbourne.
