To the best of my knowledge, S was for sliding
door. W-5s were built originally without doors, so as each one was modified they
put an SW before its number.
They didn't bother with S prefixes on the later Ws
because they came standard with sliding doors.
I don't know what number that started with but I
know the Clydes didn't have sliding doors and they were numbered into the high
700s.
