Route numbers on Citadis cars

Saw two Citadis cars both outbound one behind the
other in Macarthur Street about 0900 this morning
showing simply "Kew Depot" and no route 47.

I have also noticed Citadis cars doing a short working
to Balwyn showing route number 109 rather than the
traditional 44.
