Were they able to convert the Ws to operator only or are they using a
conductor?

As far as I know the combined route 112 was only a temporary measure
until Ws were returned to service,it would have been logical to use
route no.10 in the absence of a total revision of route numbers, why
was 109 chosen for the through Port-Mont Albert service?I suppose it
was a totally new combined route and there were no 40 numbers left as
they all related[up to 47] to short runs/variations on City-Mont
Albert.Maybe it is time for a revision of the route numbering
system, last time that happened was November 1970.Does anyone have
such a current list that could be posted to the files,I would be most
interested,I can't remember them all.I suppose 112 relates to 109,and
is really just an arbitrary selection.Herman, your photos were great
but I'm going to have to invest in a better monitor and display
card, make that a better computer.I will add a couple of Sydney maps
to the files in the hope of attracting material on Australias biggest
and best system.Regards all,Peter Bruce.
