Harry Bridges was head of the wharfies union on the US West Coast, Greg. He
was from Sydney. The guy had balls and class, a real hard guy.

Who was Harry Bridges (any relation to Nash???? hah hah) and I think you
mean 496 which I used to run out of Preston depot back in the 80's.
Greg

on july 28th dignitaries including san francisco mayor willie brown
gathered in the plaza named for harry bridges - this of course is what we
know as the plaza in front of the ferry building - melbourne 646 certainly
is at home here passing though this plaza when it is permited to operate -
500k usd will be raised for a memorial to harry to be placed near the ferry
building -
