I noticed on a [Yarra] tram at lunch time that only a
"limited" City Circle service would be operating on
Easter Monday.

What does this mean?

I would guess back to 20 mins in both directions, not much of a
change from now (meant to be 10 mins but somewhere between 5 and
25
mins actual) with 6 - 7 trams operating (from what I have seen).

As usual there is no City Circle tram service
tomorrow, Good Friday.

Sunday timetables operate on Good Friday and Easter
Monday. Both are public holidays in Victoria.

Metro trains operate to saturday timetable on Monday. The tram
operators should have a more consistent pattern. Sometimes it is
saturday timetable, sometimes sunday (and sometimes sunday with
early
services).

cheers
Johann

Saturday services operate as normal on Easter
Saturday. Jeff Kennett abolished the Easter Saturday
public holiday (and the additional bank holiday on
Easter Tuesday) several years ago.
Ted,see my message no.933 re the Fishmarket, you might get a kick out
of it.Peter Bruce.
Fortunately north of the Murray, Easter Saturday is still a public
holiday for tram drivers. A busy day yesterday, Good Friday, with
six trams in service. Fish Market stop was very busy and as usual
plenty of passengers coming and going from Star City. Due to the
nature of the patronage services are not reduced on public
holidays.

Today has dawned overcast and windy in Sydney, typical Easter
seasonal change in the weather. Dragged my uniform blazer from the
wardrobe and tried it on, mmm have lost some weight, can now button
it up, yeah!

Cheers ... Ted
