I agree - as well as being the most fortunately located 'new' tram museum in
Australasia (ie not inheriting original track and depot, like Bendigo), the
STM is the best provided for in terms of depot buildings. The National Park
line trip is one of Sydney's hidden tourist gems - pity it isn't better
promoted. When I visited in 1997 and again in 1999 the proposed track
extension to the Sutherland shops was said to be imminent - can anyone tell
me if there has been any progress?

Of all the museums I visited this one was the easiest to reach via
public transportation. It also had a nice long track run.
