Subject: Melbourne Track Maps

My recollection of the inclusion of route maps as different from track maps is that they where mistakenly! omitted from the hard cover edition of D-C during the binding process. They were included in the soft cover edition. The previous editions, I have from the second ed. on, all had route maps.

The only help I have are some track maps and have chosen 3 for submission:
The 1st is at January 1923 before it all got banged together, when they got rid of the slots
The 2nd is at 1st May 1956 when it probably reached its zenith with the opening of Bourke St
The 3rd is my most recent Jan 1980

These maps were reduced from A3 size for transmission purposes so if you have trouble, - blow 'em up again

Track maps change frequently with  a dynamic operaring tramway, I dont if an all time map is possible. Even this weekend they are alleged to be excavating down the bottom end of Collins St for the connections to go over the Collins St bridge currently under construction over the end of the railway station.
