I wonder what it weighs - that's 10 more HP per axle than a PCC.It weighs 26 tons, 3 more than a Glenelg tram. It was designed (in 1939, although construction was postponed until 1952 by WWII) for general use and for replacing some of the older cars in the fleet.
Was it designed to be used on interurban-type routes (like
Glenelg)?
